The Rosendale Street Festival is a local event that has evolved over time into a weekend packed with music, food & fun! During the summer, there's no shortage of fun things to do in Ulster County NY. The Rosendale Street Festival is at the top of the list of summertime activities that the whole family can enjoy! Last year, Taft Street Realty brought you the 2011 Guide to the Rosendale Street Festival. This year, the festival will be bigger and better than ever! So without further ado, here's the Taft Street Guide to the 2012 Rosendale NY Street Festival!

Rosendale NY Real Estate Ulster CountyThe festival takes place the weekend of July 21st & 22nd. Saturday morning, Main Street Rosendale NY will close to traffic and the festival will begin! Featuring over 70 bands on 6 stages, music will be in the air the entire weekend! Local acts and bands from afar perform a wide range of live music, from rock & roll, to folk music, to impromptu drum circles! Local vendors and businesses will set up shop on Main Street Rosendale, providing clothes, crafts, jewelry, and more from their booths. Bring your appetite! Restaurants and eateries from throughout the Hudson Valley region will be selling delicious food and cold drinks for festival-goers! The Rosendale Street Festival is an entirely volunteer-organized & run event. It is meant to showcase Rosendale NY; both the businesses and the community! Visitors are encouraged to wander around Rosendale as they listen to music; with stages creek side, in cafes, at the base of a mountain, and right in the center of town!

Homes For Sale In Rosendale NYThe 2012 Rosendale NY Street Festival is a rain or shine event. Weather at past festivals has been everything from picture-perfect, to sweltering hot, to raining cats & dogs, so be prepared! (sunscreen, ponchos, etc.)  Admission to the festival is free, but please consider giving a donation upon entering. Though we love pets, for safety reasons none are allowed so please leave them at home. Skateboards and bikes are permitted in the festival but must be walked, not ridden. Bike racks will be set up at either end of Main Street, so beat the traffic and pedal on down! No alcohol or glass containers are permitted, and bags are subject to search. Adults don't worry! Beer and alcoholic beverage stations will be set up at various points throughout the festival! Parking is free at various designated parking lots (see below), some of which are close enough to walk to the festival, with UCAT running shuttle buses from each location as well.

  • Brookside School - 11 Tanhouse Brook Rd, off of Lucas Ave, just north of Crossroads deli.
  • Rosendale Elementary School - 1915 Lucas Ave, South of Crossroads deli
  • Iron Mountain Kiln lot (to the left of the Iron Mountain main entrance) on Binnewater Road
