Ulster County NY is the premiere venue for festivals in New York State! From Woodstock NY, the legendary Upstate NY town, to Saugerties NY (the site of the 1994 Woodstock music festival), there are a number of beautiful places to host a concert! 2019 marks the 50th anniversary of the original Woodstock 1969 Music Festival(!), and efforts are underway to establish a permanent performing arts center on the grounds of Winston Farm in Saugerties NY (where Woodstock '94 was held). We think that's a great idea! In our opinion, there's no better place for a concert or festival than right here in the Hudson Valley region! Take a walk with Taft Street Realty through Saugerties, Woodstock, & Rosendale and see why Ulster County is NY’s Festival Hub!

Hudson Valley NY Concerts & Real Estate NewsWhen you walk down Main Street Woodstock NY you may feel like the concert never ended! Part of Woodstock NY's appeal is the cool culture that seems to attract artists and musicians from around the world. It's hard to tell for sure if the legendary '69 music festival was the catalyst behind this creative community or a product of it. Either way, the town of Woodstock and the festival that bares its name are forever linked in American history, and homes for sale in Woodstock NY continue to attract some of the world's greatest artists!

Saugerties NY Festivals and Homes For SaleWhat alot of people don't know is that the Woodstock '69 music festival actually took place in  Bethel NY, 40 miles or so from the town of Woodstock. The follow-up concert in 1994, took place in Saugerties NY. Fast forward to 2012, where a Woodstock promoter is hoping to build a permanent performing arts center on Winston Farm (the home of the '94 incarnation). The plan still needs the Town of Saugerties' approval, but Michael Lang, the plan's originator envisions a 30,000 person venue on the farm's 10 acres of land. With the 50th Anniversary of the original concert slowly approaching, perhaps a permanent center honoring these legendary festivals is long overdue! And Saugerties NY is the ideal home for such a center. Hudson Valley Magazine recently named Saugerties NY a best place to live in the Hudson Valley for 2012!
