Nicholas Cimato, NYS Licensed Real Estate Salesperson

After 25 years in NYC, I moved to The Hudson Valley with my partner and 3 cats in May of 2017 and have not looked back.  I was attracted to the diversity of people, the quirkiness of the towns, hamlets and villages, the proximity to the NYC Metropolitan area, and mostly to the lush natural resources, from the Catskills and Shawangunk mountains, to the Hudson and Walkill Rivers, as well as the many creeks, streams, and lakes, and the beautiful biodiversity.  In my own backyard are majestic oaks, wild flowers, towering pines and wild grasses which serve as home and food to such animals as chipmunks, rabbits, opossums, deer and bears, all of which our cats have befriended.  My partner, Tian, is a history buff and has a great appreciation for the rich history of the area, from the 4 corners in Kingston, to The Rosendale Cement kilns, the Saugerties Mills, Bethel Woods and Woodstock.

What I sought out in an agent is what I deliver myself: time, patience, integrity and a commitment to my client’s best interests.  I will not only be your advocate and advisor, but a resource and a guide to navigate the process of selling or buying your home.  Client satisfaction is my top priority and I am committed to exceeding your expectations without imposing my own.  Whether you are a first time home buyer, an empty nester seeking a smaller place or are looking for a secondary residence, the home that you envision is here waiting for you.  It may not be the first property we see, but we will continue until your smile says, “Yes, this is the one!”  When it is time to sell your home, I will come prepared, assist you in determining a fair value and work to get you the best return, I will be your greatest asset and resource.  An extreme people person, I can work with anyone thanks to my extensive sales and management background. Previous careers include nightclub management of such well-known NYC venues such as Stand Up NY Comedy Club, The Underground Lounge and The Night Gallery, as well as fitness sales and management in top NYC health clubs.

Originally from Maine, I hold a BA in Philosophy from CCNY. I am an avid cyclist who bikes all over Ulster County enjoying the tranquility of the trails and the challenge of the mountains and hills, also a voracious reader, I unwind with a great mystery after a good ride.  As an enthusiastic cook, I am now trying my hand at authentic Asian cuisine and make one heck of a Kimchee!  With my backyard garden I am now able to experiment with the freshest of herbs as well as varieties of vegetables, not to mention the wild berries, grapes and greens that are plentiful in the area.  As a NYC transplant, I understand the desire to have an escape, a peaceful hideaway to commune with nature, breathe fresh air, and relax, be it a weekend retreat or as a full time resident. The Hudson Valley and Ulster County have options for all persons to find the perfect home, I would be honored to assist you in your quest.
