Hudson Valley Rail Trail: for a picturesque adventure, follow the 7.1 mile trail that will take you through hardwood forests, over the scenic Black Creek and under some stunning stone-arch bridges. With little incline, this trail isn’t too challenging making it perfect for novices.

Monhonk Mountain House: surrounded by 40,000 acres of pristine forest, check out Hudson Valley's most iconic resort! Explore the area with the help of some snowshoes or cross country skis to help you cover more ground. 

Lippman Park: if you’re looking for a spot to run free and enjoy some outdoor recreation, look no further than Lipman Park. 100 acres of stunning wilderness means you truly get out and explore! 

Wallkill Valley Rail Trail: open from dusk to dawn year-round, this winding trail is nearly 22 miles long! It’s no surprise the spot is so popular among cross-country skiers. 

Ice Skating

Kiwanis Ice Arena: this olympic sized ice rink is located indoors, so you can still enjoy some winter fun while staying protected from the elements. 

Mohonk Mountain Ice Skating Pavilion: While this resort boasts many great amenities, you can’t miss the 18,000-square-foot outdoor ice rink. Don’t worry, it’s covered! And, the 39-foot stone fireplace will keep you warm if the skating isn’t.
