School’s back in session, local farm stands and orchards are abuzz with visitors picking apples and pumpkins and soon the vibrant fall foliage will be peaking, covering our mountains and hillsides in a beautiful watercolor of hues. Ulster County is one of the best places to take in all the autumnal beauty of upstate New York, and when weekend visitors pour in from around the state (and beyond), Ulster is prepared to give them the show they were looking for… and a whole weekend-full of fun activities and festivals to boot. Description: The always highly anticipated Taste of New Paltz returns to the fairgrounds for it's 26th annual event- where the food will be the main event, as always. Highland Harvest Festival

Description: Sponsored by the Highland Business Association, the Harvest Fest is the second street festival in the hamlet of Highland for the calendar year. Hudson Valley Garlic Festival

Woodstock British Car Show

Field + Supply | A Modern Makers Craft Fair

Description: For a 3rd year, the Field + Supply Craft Show will return to Ulster County, this year at the newly refurbished Hasbrouck House, where they will be able to host even more vendors and craftspeople. This isn’t an ordinary crafts fair though, it’s a curated selection of goods and vendors, highlighting both the new and the old, and representing a wide range of crafts. Other activities, live music and food and drink, including offerings from the Hasbrouck House’s new restaurant, Butterfields, will be available. Forsyth Nature Center Fall Festival

Description: Bring the family for a day of fun at the park to ring in fall! There will be live music, vendors, raffles, games and activities for children, including bouncy castles and of course, the resident animals of the Nature Center will be there as well! Belleayre Fall Festival

Description: Belleayre's fall festival is a pre-winter get-together before their skiing and snowboarding season goes into full swing. A weekend full of activities are planned including a lineup of live music, pumpkin painting, kids activities, skyrides, crafts, antique and yard sale vendors and much more! Adams Fairacre Farms Harvest Festival

17th Annual Woodstock Film Festival

Description: This year, for its 17th annual event, the Woodstock Film Festival will present over 150 films, concerts and panels celebrating the art of film and music making around Ulster County. In addition to the movie showings, workshops, parties and celebrity-led panels, the Woodstock Film Festival also hosts the Maverick Award Gala where Oscar and Academy Award Winners will be in attendance as presents and award recipients. Many famous celebrities are passionate advocates of the festival and have attended in the past, including Paul Rudd, Steve Buscemi and Ethan Hawke, to name but a few of the greats. 10th Annual Mid-Hudson Woodworkers Show
